Day 17- Yakima, WA to Glenns Ferry, ID

After we went briefly back through Oregon from Washington, we entered Idaho for the first time. There were lots of potatoes and other farmlands.
For the last bit of our trip we went alongside hwy 30, which was the Old Oregon Trail road. We both have fond memories of playing the old Oregon Trail computer game in elementary school. Three Island Crossing State Park was actually a place where Oregon Trail Pioneers could cross at great danger, but gain better food for themselves and their teams on the other side.
In 1863, a ferry was built across the river so that people could make it across easier.
